Today's post is inspired by my jam of the moment, THRIFT SHOP BY MACKLEMORE. Whut, whut, whut whuttttttt. I mean, leopard prints and thrift shops are meant to be together forever and ever.
I wanted to shake things up a bit so I went for a gradient base, instead of one solid colour. I started off with Covet London Racy Lacy Bikini, a true Barbie pink, and then I did a gradient using Essence Passion for Fashion.
Next, I used my Konad Nail Art Pen in Black Pearl to draw on the leopard prints. Basically, you draw on little Cs and some spots here and there. I feel a nail art pen is better rather than a nail art striper/brush because it's easier to make the lines more uneven and splotchy, which makes your leopard prints look more realistic! Nail art stripers/brushes tend to get the little Cs too neat for my liking.
Finally, I topped it off with China Glaze Fairy Dust in the little circles, to add an extra oomph to the mani!
Anyway, the reason for drawing inspiration from Thrift Shop is because our dance club recently had a performance and I had a lot of fun dancing to that song! Here's the video for your entertainment! :P
